SEALs consists of three specific ministries:
1 SEALs
2 IM Force (Focused towards international outreach)
3 Come & See (Focused towards local outreach)

SEALs (sea, air and land) is a division of Navy special forces.  They take their name from the elements in and from which they operate.  Their secret methods of operation allow them to conduct multiple missions against targets that larger forces can't approach undetected.  Because of the dangers inherent in Navy SEALs Warfare, prospective SEALs go through what is considered to be the toughest training in the world.
This special warfare division of the Navy inspires us to think of the spiritual warfare that Christ's Church is in.  We are living behind enemy lines.  The whole world is under control of the evil one (1 John 5:19).  But since Jesus resurrected, God's kingdom has not only broken into Satan's domain, but has dealt him a death blow and stripped him and his demons of their weapons (Heb. 2:14-15, Col. 2:15).  God has enlisted Christians as his soldiers to participate in the expansion of the kingdom's borders (2 Tim. 2:3-4).  As a participant in this ministry, prepare yourself to enter rigorous training for the demanding nature of sharing the Gospel.

1. SEALs is the local evangelism ministry of the Church of Christ at Louisville.
2. SEALs purpose is to make the core message of the gospel known to the Louisville area and beyond through public and private teaching.
3. SEALs recognizes that God seeks to reclaim the world held hostage by Satan through each human being's free will acceptance of, and commitment to, God's rule through faith in Christ.
4. SEALs seee that an essential part of evangelism is the deliberate process of verbally communicating the good news to others by opening Scriptures and persuading them to choose Christ.
5. SEALs understands that people are without Christ and completely disoriented from God and his purposes.  In this lost condition, they will experience the ultimate separation from God when this life ends unless they accept Christ.
6. SEALs believes that the saved sre those who, by a living faith, have been rescued from Satan, sin and the world through accepting Jesus Christ's blood shed on the cross.
7. SEALs teaches Christians how to do spiritual warfare on the front lines so they can recruit lost people to Christ.  The purpose of this training is to encourage believers' confidence and competence in sharing their faith and leading others to become Christians.

The SEALS Ministry meets every Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm in the church library.  If you have an interest in this ministry or have questions, please feel free to stop by and visit with us.

Hey Grant,

We talked Wednesday concerning the website and the SEALs ministry. We decided to keep SEALs the main ministry name with IM Force and Come & See ministries within SEALs.
We figure the church's home page will have a ministry link to mouse over or click on and it will list the church's ministries. You can have SEALs there to click on and take you to the SEALs page where there will be info describing what SEALs is about. Also if possible it would be nice to have a tab marked IM Force and a tab marked Come & See so you could click on them and a page could come up with info on each of these ministries (again this is if possible, if not you can do something that works). Also, we think it would be great to have the ability to blog on this site or somehow communicate with those who visit the site. Below I give info on each ministry that can be included in each ministry page. Again, thanks for the work you have put into this. As long as we get something started I'm sure we can improve upon it as we have time.  I also attached a couple of logos and ideas from tshirts ect.  Thanks and any Q's contact me.  Tim

IM Force:
The IM Force takes its name from the popular 1960's TV show Mission Impossible.  In that show, the mission team was called "IM Force".  In our case, IM Force stands for the "International Mission Force" and it is the foreign ministry of the Church of Christ at Louisville, Ohio.  The IM Force puts into practice the training learned through the SEALs ministry and takes that training outside the United States.  The IM Force team travels to Ituni, Guyana in South America where they have planted a New Testament church.
The aim of this ministry is to spread the gospel to all nations with emphasis on sharing Christ in places where there is no existing New Testament church.  "It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else's foundation" (Romans 15:20).

Come & See:
Come & See is a ministry offered by the Louisville Church of Christ that shares information about the Louisville church along with a fresh look at Jesus Christ and the life he offers.  Come & See classes are held a few times each year usually on Monday evenings in a casual atmosphere with refreshments provided.  This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Louisville Church of Christ and look at the simplicity of the gospel message and the purpose God has for each of us in this life.

Tim,

This has been added to the site. I plan on flipping the DNS switch to point to our new website tomorrow 2 July around 11:00 PM.

If you see something amiss, please let me know as I will be monitoring requests and bug alerts closely after the initial launch.
